Leader: Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful

Leader: Lord, send out your Spirit

Silently pray that the Holy Spirit would fill us with the gift of Understanding.

Leader:
Blessed Spirit of Understanding, enlighten my mind, that I may know and love the truths of faith and make them truly my own.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord.

Day Eight – Friday 17 May
Leader: Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
All: And enkindle in them the fire of your love

Leader: Lord, send out your Spirit
All: And renew the face of the earth

Silently pray that the Holy Spirit would fill us with the gift of Wisdom.

Leader:
Blessed Spirit of Wisdom, help me to seek God, to not be distracted by unimportant things, but to always make him the center of my life. May we find happiness in our lives by means of this Wisdom, and finally be counted among the blessed forever.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord.

to begin the teaching of the Gospel

through the hearts of all who believe.

Blessed Spirit of Wonder and Awe in God’s Presence, penetrate my inmost heart that I may ever be mindful of your presence. Help me avoid sin, and give me intense reverence for God and for my fellow human beings who are made in God's image.
