Pentecost Novena at the Choir School

Day One – Friday 10 May
Leader: Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
All: And enkindle in them the fire of your love

Leader: Lord, send out your Spirit
All: And renew the face of the earth

All: Our Father, who art in heaven…

Silently pray that the Holy Spirit would be the helper and guide for all who are members of the Choir School family, and fill us with his Seven Gifts: Wisdom, Understanding, Right Judgment, Courage, Knowledge, Reverence, and Wonder and Awe in God’s Presence

Leader:
God our Father,
Let the Spirit you sent on your Church
to begin the teaching of the Gospel
continue to work in the world
through the hearts of all who believe.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

All: Amen



Day Two – Saturday 11 May
Leader: Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
All: And enkindle in them the fire of your love

Leader: Lord, send out your Spirit
All: And renew the face of the earth

All: Our Father, who art in heaven…

Silently pray that the Holy Spirit would fill us with the gift of Wonder and Awe in God’s presence.

Leader:
Blessed Spirit of Wonder and Awe in God’s Presence, penetrate my inmost heart that I may ever be mindful of your presence. Help me avoid sin, and give me intense reverence for God and for my fellow human beings who are made in God's image.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

Day Three – Sunday 12 May
Leader: Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
All: And enkindle in them the fire of your love

Leader: Lord, send out your Spirit
All: And renew the face of the earth

All: Our Father, who art in heaven…

Silently pray that the Holy Spirit would fill us with the gift of Reverence.

Leader:
Blessed Spirit of Reverence, possess my heart, incline it to a true faith in You, to a holy love of You, my God, that with my whole soul I may seek You, who are my Father, and find you, my best, my truest joy.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord.
